Discover Christmas at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre The award winning Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre plays host to Santa Saturdays on 13th and 20th December. Wreath making will be on the agenda for Saturday 13th, Stephanie Bellows (pictured) has been out and about in the Meadows hunting for natural materials to make her wreath.

Stephanie will be showing us all how it's done at a festive wreath making workshop, just £5 per wreath 11am – 12.30pm booking advisable.

The Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre recently won the accolade 'Best Family Day Out – small venue', it offers a variety of activities for the whole family. It's not just wreath making that each member of the family can get involved with but also Santa's Christmas Challenge consisting of a trail around the Centre to keep the children occupied. Santa will also be around 12-2pm on 13th handing out treats. On Saturday 20th he is accompanied by his elves in his grotto.

The Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre houses a replica of the famous mammoth skeleton found in Shropshire, has a cafe and an extensive shop selling a range of quirky Christmas gifts. Every half term and summer holiday the visitor attraction provides hands-on family activities that remain ever popular. Toddlers aren't left out either as each Tuesday activities specifically aimed at younger children encourage them to explore nature and get creative.
