RAF Museum Apprentice wins at National Awards

16th November 2012

The RAF Museum Cosford is delighted to announce that our Carpentry Apprentice Laura Pringle has been crowned ‘National Intermediate Apprentice of the Year’ at the National Awards Ceremony. The ceremony took place on Wednesday 14th November at The Skills Show, NEC Birmingham.

Having won the regional Apprentice Awards in September, Laura then went through to the National judging round with ten other regional winners from across the country. Laura was then selected as one of only three regional winners to go through to the finals.

Last night, Laura aged 20, attended the National Awards Ceremony at the NEC Birmingham with her proud parents and RAF Museum Training Manager Mick Shepherd.  Staff at the RAF Museum Cosford are extremely proud of Laura’s huge achievements and are delighted with last night’s awards win.

Laura is now busy working at our sister Museum in London for the next couple of days.  Any media wishing to speak with Laura is welcome to visit the Museum on Saturday 17th November.  Laura will be in the Conservation Centre speaking with visitors on the final day of our Conservation Centre Open Week from 10:15am to 1:00pm.
