Tinsel Tuesdays in Ludlow

Ludlow promises to pack a punch for shoppers this December with a wholly new Christmas concept coined Tinsel Tuesdays. For every Tuesday in December the town will be offering free parking in all car parks between 2 and 6pm, courtesy of Shropshire Council and a new Christmas Gift Market that promises shoppers something a bit special. Business Enterprise Fund Grants for Tourism Start-Ups and Established Businesses

The Shropshire & Herefordshire Business Enterprise Fund is a £1 million fund secured from the European Rural Development Fund (ERDF) administered by Shropshire Council. The aim of the Fund is to assist individuals to start businesses and encourage existing businesses to invest in projects that will result in increased profitability through efficiency savings and/or expansion and diversification of new products/services, into existing and new markets.

Following the improvements we have made visits to the site, the number of visits has more than doubled from 2011 to 2012, with the website receiving 3,644 from 1st Oct to 30th Nov 2011, compared to 7,877 from 1st Oct to 30th Nov 2012. With a bounce rate of 44% and with 83% of the visits to the site from new visitors. We average 70 electronic brochure requests per month and the highest months were  August with 94 and April with 90. It will be a useful indicator of the interest generated by the area and our website and to see how these change over the coming months.

Historic aircraft ‘nose art’ on display at Cosford

On display at the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford from Monday 3rd December 2012 is a new temporary exhibition showcasing original examples of artwork that wartime aircrew created to personalise their aircraft. The exhibition brings together eleven original pieces of aircraft art, taken from aircraft including a Mosquito and a Wellington, plus copies of photographs showing how the artwork appeared on the aircraft.

The Club aims to select regional food and drink where possible and the journey from Shropshire is only a short one to the Warriors ground. The Premiership rugby team has just signed a two year sponsorship deal with bottled water company, Wenlock Spring - a partnership which will hopefully help the team to 'spring' to the top of the league table!

Almost 100 window stickers have been handed out to all shops that are independently owned in Ludlow town centre by it’s local Chamber of Trade and Commerce.
