An exciting programme of events for all ages is on offer at the 2013 festival, which runs from 10th to 23rd February 2013. The festival, which has been arranged by Shropshire Wildlife Trust, aims to inspire people with curiosity about the natural world and awaken understanding of the marvellous wildlife with which we share our world.

Ironbridge Gorge UNESCO World Heritage Site ranked first in the UK and second in the world by TripAdvisor

Telford & Wrekin’s Ironbridge Gorge has beaten off stiff competition to be the 2012 most highly recommended UNESCO World Heritage Site in the UK according to the TripAdvisor traveller community. It also takes second place in the world behind the Historic Ensemble of the Potala Palace, Lhasa, China and ahead of the Egyptian Pyramids and India’s Taj Mahal.

Create Strange Tiles Decorated with Amazing Aliens at Jackfield Tile Museum

Let your imagination run wild this February half-term at the Amazing Aliens themed tile decorating workshops at Jackfield Tile Museum in Shropshire’s Ironbridge Gorge. Design a weird and wonderful creature inspired by the mysteries of outer space and tube line the alien on a ceramic tile using your own choice of colours, which will be sent home a few days later. The drop-in sessions will take place from Monday 18 to Friday 22 February 2013.
