Experimental Aircraft Programme now on display at Cosford

Christmas has come early at the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford with the arrival of the Experimental Aircraft Programme (EAP) technology demonstrator. This experimental jet helped pave the way for the renowned Eurofighter Typhoon and thanks to support of BAE Systems is now on display to visitors within the Museum's Test Flight collection.

Now in its eighth year, the Ironbridge Gorge Walking Festival (Saturday, 4th - Sunday 12th May 2013) will be marking the 60th anniversary of The Queen's coronation with a new circular walk around the Ironbridge Gorge Museums showing some of the locations of Royal visits since 1900. These will include a plaque unveiled by Her Majesty in 1967.

BUILDING A NEW STORY AT WROXETER ROMAN CITY

The remains of many 2000 year old buildings still stand today, which is testament to the construction skills of the Romans. Visitors joining a series of special tours at Wroxeter Roman City this February and March will learn about the techniques and materials firsthand from one of the UK's most eminent scholars, Professor Dai Morgan Evans, as he guides them around the Roman building he designed at Wroxeter Roman City.

Telford & Wrekin’s Ironbridge Gorge has beaten off stiff competition to be the 2012 most highly recommended UNESCO World Heritage Site in the UK according to the TripAdvisor traveller community. It also takes second place in the world behind the Historic Ensemble of the Potala Palace, Lhasa, China and ahead of the Egyptian Pyramids and India’s Taj Mahal.

Design a weird and wonderful creature inspired by the mysteries of outer space and tube line the alien on a ceramic tile using your own choice of colours, which will be sent home a few days later.
